As someone who’s a bit of a beer and chicken wing snob (I brew beer and make wings at home), I usually leave restaurants thinking, “I could’ve made this better myself.” That’s especially true with chicken wings. Not this time. I ordered the wings with the jerk dry rub and asked if I could get all three of their sauces plus some ranch for dipping. They were happy to accommodate. The wings were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and honestly right on par with (maybe even a little better than) what I make at home…especially since I didn’t have to do any of the prep or cleanup! I also ordered a flight of their IPAs and pale ales, and every single beer was enjoyable. No filler—I’d gladly order any of them again. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and the atmosphere was fantastic, and the huge covered patio looks like an awesome place to hang out. If you’re in Charlottesville and enjoy great craft beer and legitimately good wings, I strongly recommend Three Notch’d Brewing.

Wow! Andrew, the bartender, was incredible. He is attentive, kind, makes a mean Aperol spritz and ensured I had a great meal. From the atmosphere to the drinks , Three Notch’d exceeded my expectations, will be back. Thanks Andrew.
★★★★☆
Sports bar type atmosphere in a craft brewery. Huge TV screen and picnic bench seating create a unitive vibe. Great place to watch a sporting event. Food and drink are above average for this type of place both in terms of quality and variety. Gets very loud and noisy so don't go there for a quiet romantic dinner. Fun.
★★★☆☆
I liked the beer a lot more than I liked the food. Asked for the steak salad with dressing on the side and it came with dressing on it . Not a big deal, I was more upset by the quality of the food. I’m not a fan of reheated steak strips on a salad for the same price as a fresh grilled steak frit.
